One of my great loves is meandering through Autumn Woods, taking in the charismatic sights, smells, and sounds of a forest waiting for the wind of the North to transform it’s landscape into a frozen sleeping land. The occasional face of a panicked deer peering through bushes, not quite seeing but waiting for movement, or the wind to blow in it’s direction the distinct smell of a human.
